Triangle 恐怖游轮影评：
最合理的一个完整轮回，有助于理解本片。
有的观点认为整个故事就是女主角出车祸死后灵魂的无尽轮回，一切都是她自己想像中的，这是因为她自己对孩子的罪而受到的惩罚。
这样才可以忽略剧情里有漏洞的地方，当做电影把它看完，而不去想其中情节的合理性。
船的名字是:AEOLUS－艾俄罗斯。是希腊神话中的风神，剧中有风神的画像，也提到了AEOLUS和他的儿子西绪福斯。 希腊神话中有个叫西绪福斯的一个国王，因为自诩为最聪明的人，并屡次戏弄死神和冥王等众神，被死神抓去阴间，并判他受苦。他受苦的过程就是：每天把一块大石头从山脚推到山顶，每次当他刚好要达到山顶的时候，大石就会滑落回山脚，西绪福斯只有顶着烈日重新再推，如此循环不断。
所以感觉船应该叫：西绪福斯才更合理。
有的人认为片中的女主角进入了无穷无尽的轮回之中:无数次尝试救儿子，无数次失败，永远轮回下去。 但实际上，在游轮上有一个固定的轮回，而女主角所有的结局都是死亡。 在轮船上六组人是一个完整的轮回。而女主角洁西，经历了六个阶段。 第一阶段：所有朋友被杀，把蒙面的敌人打入大海； 第二阶段：开始救朋友，但朋友还是死了，看到下面两个自己在打，一个杀了另一个，此时这两个人都没蒙面。第三阶段：自己开始杀朋友，被自己打入大海，时间倒流； 然后是电影里没有演的后三个阶段； 第四阶段：再次上轮船（想再次杀死朋友，时间倒流救儿子），在厨房被吓跑，自己把另一个自己杀死，扔进大海； 第五阶段：没出来参与；只是把维克特打伤，并把吊坠挂到铁栅栏上，好让下一个人看到并掉下吊坠。 第六阶段：出来杀人，最后被杀。 ……这就是一个完美的轮回。 每一次五人组上船时，轮船上都是有三个女主角同时存在。而且是一、三、五阶段同时存在，二、四、六阶段同时存在。比如，女主角进入她自己的第二阶段，那么，船上的另外两个她就会进入第四和第六阶段。
Triangle 恐怖游轮故事背景：
1是Sisyphus推石头的希腊神话。Sisyphus被打入冥界后请求给予三天时间返回阳世去掩埋自己的尸首，但是当他回到人间却眷恋不肯离去，背弃了自己的承诺，最终被Hermes捉回。
2是英国诗人Samuel Taylor Coleridge的一首著名的叙事诗《THE RIME OF THE ANCIENT MARINER》（译为《老水手之歌》或《古舟子吟》）讲述了一个老水手带领同伴们出海，因为莽撞的射死了一只信天翁，给帆船带来了噩运，于是风停了世界好像静止了一般，无法靠风力杨帆起航的船被困在大海中央，船员因为极度饥渴而虚弱不堪，他们为了惩罚老水手，摘掉了他脖子上的十字架挂上了那只死鸟。此时远方驶来一艘荒芜的幽灵船，船上立着一位孤独的女妖，她象征着恶梦（The Night-Mare），也象征着”活于死中“（LIFE-IN-DEATH was she）。上船后水手的同伴在女妖的诅咒下一个接一个的倒地而亡，他们的尸体都不会腐烂，还睁着眼睛保持着临终的目光怨毒的盯着老水手，仿佛在谴责他的过失招致了一切灾难。而只有老水手无论如何也无法死去，他在船上度过了恐怖而痛苦的七天七夜最终深深地忏悔，为那只信天翁祷告，最后老水手终于生还了，却注定一辈子孤独的活在自责和亡灵的怨恨中，他见人就重复讲述着这个故事，劝诫人们要慎重自己的言行，不要践踏任何生命哪怕它们看起来多么弱小。
《老水手之歌》的主题就是关于基督教的原罪。记得Jess在甲板上看到海鸟啄食Downey的尸体时夺过Victor手里的苹果（Vector在餐厅里拿着啃了一口,又抓着它跑了出去）砸向了海鸟，苹果即原罪，意味着一切的灾难起源于Jess。诗中船员曾把死鸟挂在老水手的脖子上提醒他犯下的罪过，Jess脖子上挂的是她儿子的照片，暗示Jess的儿子就像那只无辜的信天翁，因为母亲的粗暴和自私受到了伤害（Jess因为单亲抚养孩子压力很大，所以总是打骂儿子），最终还死于母亲造成的车祸中。而Jess只能永远带着象征自己罪的项链，活在忏悔里。
