极其平常 Super Normal
深泽直人与Jasper Morrison展览“super normal”：
Super Normal,超级普通,超级平常……
用这些词来形容一个设计,首先会有怎样一个印象呢?一个平常的东西也许让你脑子里留不下丝毫的印象,那么”超级平常”是怎样一种感觉?
一条椅子去参加一个设计展览,但结果却在展台上看不到影子,一点也吸引不了人们的眼球,因为都被屁股挡住了.Naoto Fukasawa有一点震惊和失望,当他在去年米兰家具展看到他的设计的境遇.但不久Jasper Morrison却致电祝贺,称其为”super normal”.

Naoto Fukasawa,Jasper Morrison这两位著名的设计师很容易让别人把他们排到一起,因为他们的设计.提到现时代设计的经典或者说当你思考设计本质时候,总能在第一时间想起这两位.基于前面一件小事的诱发,两位搞了一个展览–”super normal”,展出他们俩收集的super normal的设计(包括他们俩的一些设计).在东京的Axis Gallery展出到7月2号,并在9月份到伦敦展出.domus杂志最近就此采访了Naoto Fukasawa和Jasper Morrison,文章可以见这 naoto + jasper = super normal.

那么什么是”super normal”,怎样的东西才称得上”super normal”呢?……
super normal是那种符合生活本质标准的东西,这一种品质不受限于外在形式,而是关系到人们怎样在使用过程中对它们的感知.Naoto Fukasawa和Jasper Morrison用”super normal”来表达他们对”设计应该是怎样”,当然有对现状设计的不满,当前的设计普遍偏离了它的原本,淡忘了设计师的基本职责–照顾好这个我们生活的这个人造环境并努力改进它.而现在的设计师关心的是吸引力,是人们的眼球,而不是传统的易用好用的原则.为了设计而设计,为了更新换代而更新换代,总是思考的设计的个性独特,而不是平常,商家总是不停的给一个本质相同的产品更换不同的外衣而不断上市.设计师怕人们用normal平常来形容他们的设计,认为平常等同于无味,normal等同于boring.

“super normal里面的一个类别使这种产品,当你看到他时,你会说’这真的很普通’,这些是融入我们生活的设计,我们看不到任何设计元素的产品.还有一些新设计,它们触及了一些本质,每个人都会认为他们很平常普通.当人们期待着的设计元素被剔除了,’太普通了”怎么会这样平常’,这些评价表达出了与原本普通产品良好协调的东西,而那些一直和人们保持良好关系(也就是让人们感到普通平常)也许比期待的新东西更好”–Naoto Fukasawa

展览中有很多佚名的日常生活用品设计,Naoto Fukasawa认为这样也意味着设计师创造者并没有努力去”设计”和”表达自己”,这些通常在我们生活中变得让人视而不见,那些我们认为内而外的产品,那些我们用不到的时候,它们消失,当需要时,又马上出现,而当我们努力去寻找一些”设计”的时候,它们很丑!它们看上去就是一个东西,围绕着形状,有一种关系已经建立起来了.

Jasper Morrison认为这种super normal的东西会在你使用的过程中突然意识到它的这么平常至极,这种感觉超越了视觉,是你使用过程中的一种有趣体验,佚名的产品没有我们常见设计中自我表达的成分,设计师或者创作者避免了或者限制了自我表达以及把自己名字挂在产品上的意识……
